Working to Build a Better World
Healing, Teaching and Transforming – One Heart at a Time
We work in partnership with Lama Gangchen World Peace Foundation, a United Nations NGO, to promote a culture of peace and non-violence, respect for human rights, social progress and improving the quality of life for all people.

The United Nations was founded shortly after the atrocities of World War II to eliminate warfare and provide a global dialogue for peace and nonviolence. The United Nations is a beacon of light holding the commitment to create a world free of violence, ensuring human rights and promoting a culture of peace. It is one of the only institutions that brings together representatives from all nations to promote the highest ideals for our collective humanity. |
We support many UN initiatives including the UN Millennium Goals. These goals were created by all the member states making a collective commitment to:
- Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
- Achieve universal primary education
- Promote gender equality and empower women
- Reduce child mortality
- Improve maternal health
- Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
- Ensure environmental sustainability
- Develop a global partnership for development

In 1995, Lama Gangchen proposed the creation of a permanent Spiritual Forum for World Peace within the UN. The purpose of this forum is to create ongoing dialogues with leaders and representatives of all religions and spiritual movements. The vision of the Spiritual Forum is to be a bridge bringing together political, governmental and spiritual leaders to help solve the world’s crises and promote a culture of peace and nonviolence. |
In addition, we support the proposal to the UN Decade of Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, Understanding and Cooperation for Peace. For more information, visit www.faithdecadeforpeace.net
Our parent foundation, Lama Gangchen World Peace Foundation, is a United Nations NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) and a member of ECOSOC.
